Week 17 - Life Drawing

 This time we focused on drawing/ studying clothes:

 

 

this time, I brought a charcoal pencil with me, and it behaved quite differently to the willow sticks. It was more precise, of course, and it wasn't as soft, there was a bit more friction on the page. I think that was more useful for drawing clothes though, I don't think the regular charcoal would've allowed for drawing most of the folds unless I drew these a lot bigger.

I really enjoyed using my mechanical pencil for some of these too, I was quite torn about adding charcoal over it in a lot of these.

One thing I definitely need to practice is drawing shoes. They kind of break my mind a little bit when trying to draw them from the front, although in these drawings I think I managed to get away with it.
